The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate an additional UAH 1.1 billion to the regions for the implementation of barrier measures. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal announced this during a government meeting on June 11.
According to the head of the government, the restoration of the country is on the principle of "rebuild better than it", which involves the use of inclusive standards and the barrier environment.
Money will be directed to current and major repairs of infrastructure, residential and public buildings. The main purpose of these measures is to create unobstructed access to objects for people with disabilities and other low -mobility groups.
Earlier, the government has already allocated considerable funds for the restoration of destroyed regions - UAH 298 million for Zaporizhzhya region and UAH 598 million for Kharkiv.
