President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially acknowledged that the Ukrainian military is present not only in the border areas of the Kursk but also of the Belgorod region of Russia. He reported this in his evening address on April 7 after the meeting of the commander -in -chief.
According to the President, the Ukrainian forces are active fighting in border areas in the enemy. The purpose of such operations is to reduce pressure on Ukrainian positions, in particular in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
“Alexander Sirsky reported: Front, our presence in the Kursk region and our presence in the Belgorod region. We continue to take active actions in the border areas in the enemy, and it is absolutely fair - the war should return to where it came from, ”Zelensky said.
The President stressed that operations in the border areas of Russia, in particular Kursk region, were allowed to reduce the pressure of Russian troops in Donetsk region. He emphasized the importance of systematic destruction of enemy technology and logistics throughout the front line.
Zelensky also mentioned the 225th assault regiment, which is currently active in the territory of Belgorod region, and thanked all the units that cause losses to Russian troops and defend Ukrainian positions.
