During the briefing on Wednesday, the first Viceremier-Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko reported that according to the Ministry of Economy, 40% of the Ukrainian economy is in the shadow. This situation concerns the agricultural sector and export agricultural products. She noted that the legislative acts signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky are aimed at combating "black grain" and non -return of foreign exchange earnings, which will increase control over these processes.
"I think that only our grain traders can be given to the expert grade of grain exports of grain, but it is obvious that such a sector has a share. If we talk about the" shadow "economy, potentially 40% of the economy can be in the shadows, including the agricultural sector and exports of agricultural products,"
It also noted the positive shifts over the last six months in the issue of returning foreign exchange earnings, but called for further improvement of the situation.
"It is important to understand that the indigenous foreign exchange earnings jeopardize the funding of the state budget," the minister added.
