On June 7, Russian attacks were the destruction or damage of 73% of thermal power plants (TPPs), Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal said during a telephone.
According to Shmigal's speech, shelling has led to the destruction of 42 units, although 27% of large TPPs remain in working order, and 20 hydropower blocks are not functioning.
The Prime Minister also noted that the Government is currently active on restoring power-stations for maximum energy generation before winter.
Against the background of this Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, he issued a directive to public authorities on reducing electricity consumption, including a ban on the use of air conditioning by officials.
At the same time, the government is preparing a preferential lending program for the purchase of energy equipment for citizens and businesses, such as solar panels and wind mini -electricity.
In order to facilitate the import of generators and other energy equipment, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution, simplifying procedures.
