Apple has become a lawsuit by its own shareholders. According to Reuters, investors filed a collective lawsuit with the Federal Court of San Francisco, accusing the company of concealing important information about the introduction of artificial intelligence in the voice assistant Siri.
The plaintiffs say Apple has not warned investors about the delay in integration of new shi functions, which had a negative impact on the sale of iPhone smartphones. This, according to them, was one of the reasons for the fall of the market value of the company.
The claim applies to investors who invested the company in the last year and suffered losses against the background of reducing the value of the shares. The documents also require compensation, the amount of which is not disclosed.
Apple has not yet officially commented on the claim. The lawsuit can be important not only for the company, but also for the general approach of technological giants to openness in the field of innovation and market expectations.
