At the ADEX-2023 International Exhibition in Seoul, the South Korean Company Kal-ASD (Korean Aerospace Division) presented its last Kus-SX drone, designed to attack the enemy missile objects.
According to the official representative of KAL-ASD, Kus-SX is classified as intelligence and assault unmanned aircraft. The development of Kus-SX began in early 2023 and was completed in just a few months, thanks to the unique technologies of the company in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The drone has a length of 2.5 meters and wings of 3 meters. Kus-SX is able to rise to a height of 4500 meters and stay in the air for more than 9 hours. Its nasal part can be equipped with a warhead or sensors to perform intelligence missions.
It should be noted that South Korea provides active support to Ukraine in the fight against Russian military aggression. Earlier, the South Korean engineers presented the Hyunmoo-5 ballistic missile, which was called "rocket-monster". This rocket is able to carry one of the most massive warheads in the world weighing 8 to 9 tons. It is designed for the destruction of underground team centers, rocket-nuclear bases and other strategic objects. Hyunmoo-5 is currently considered to be the most effective remedy for possible aggressors.
According to a high-ranking official from South Korea, the mass production of the Hyunmoo-5 rocket will start by the end of this year at the Hanwha Aerospace plant in Puhen, up to 70 missiles per year.
