Tesla's autopilot is blamed for hundreds of accidents and dozens of deaths

According to a report by The Verge, Tesla's Autopilot has caused hundreds of accidents and dozens of deaths. The US Transportation Department has concluded that Tesla's driver assistance features do not provide enough control to keep drivers involved in the driving process, which can often have fatal consequences.

Tesla says it is warning its customers to exercise caution when using Autopilot. But often drivers become too complacent and lose concentration, not having time to react in time.

Tesla cars have often crashed into stationary emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road in the dark, ignoring emergency response measures. They beat people who were getting off the buses. Crashed into other cars and objects.

In many cases, drivers had plenty of time to react, but simply weren't paying attention to the road.
