Ukraine continues to reduce fuel prices. As of March 25, the average cost of A-95 gasoline is 55.7 UAH per liter, diesel fuel-54.3 UAH, and the car-36.35 UAH. This trend has been observed for several weeks in a row, and experts have forecast further cheaper.
According to the expert of the fuel market, the director of the consulting company "A-95" Sergey Kuyun, the main factor of influence is the world prices for oil. At the beginning of 2025, its cost increased from $ 75 to $ 82 per barrel, but later fell to $ 70. This has led to a similar reduction in the cost of petroleum products, which is reflected in the Ukrainian market.
Another important factor is the stability of the hryvnia. Since fuel imports are attached to a foreign currency, any changes in the exchange rate can affect the final cost of gasoline and diesel.
If oil prices are maintained at $ 70 per barrel, Ukrainians can see further cheaper fuel. Experts forecast a decrease in cost by another 1-1.5 UAH per liter in the next weeks.
However, in the long run, gasoline and diesel prices will depend on several factors:
-
Further dynamics of world oil prices
-
Fluctuations in the hryvnia
-
The level of demand and possible changes in fuel tax in Ukraine
