As of December of this year, there are more than 20.6 thousand registered philanthropists, which indicates an increase in their number by 74% during the period from February 2022. The Ministry of Reintegration reports about it.
These are both new benefactors and those who have recently been officially formal. The significant increase in their number is explained by the intensification of civil society since the beginning of the war, when they began to mobilize to assist the Armed Forces and peaceful inhabitants.
Obtaining official status is important for philanthropists, as it opens up wide opportunities, such as the right to open bank accounts, attract funding, cooperation with volunteers, conclude volunteer contracts and issue volunteer certificates.
As part of the humanitarian response, the Ministry of Reintegration works closely with various charitable organizations, including the charitable fund "Stabilized Support Service", Charity Foundation "Vostok SOS", Charity Foundation "Right to Defense", International Charity Fund for LEAPE, PHEBODA, HEALIOR. There is Ukraine ”, Charity Foundation“ Veteran Hub ++ ”and others. These organizations are actively engaged in the advocacy and social protection of veterans, provide humanitarian, legal, psychological assistance, evacuate, temporary placement of displaced persons, consult members of families of servicemen and support veterans.
