During a recent meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, US Secretary of State Antoni Blinken expressed concern about Beijing peaceful initiatives in the context of war in Ukraine. According to Blinken, negotiations initiated by China do not present positive results and do not correspond to the realities of the situation.
According to the US Secretary of State, China continues to support the defense and industrial base of the Russian Federation. For example, about 70% of machines imported by the Russian Federation and 90% of microelectronics are supplied from China and Hong Kong. It significantly helped Moscow to produce rockets, armored vehicles and ammunition.
"Therefore, when Beijing says that, on the one hand, he wants peace, he wants to see the end of the conflict, but on the other hand, he allows his companies to take actions that actually help Putin to continue aggression, it does not work," Blinken added.
