In the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces) emphasized the importance of maintaining the city of Marinka, despite the difficulties and damage that it suffered as a result of hostilities. Oleksandr Tarnavsky, commander of the Tavriysky Defense Forces, stated that the task of military command is to settle the situation and preserve personnel.
"Today we are clearly aware that if everything is destroyed somewhere or there is no way - our task is, first of all, to keep personnel. And we take all measures to ensure that it is not 'any Tsenoi'," Tarnavsky stressed.
Marinka, a small town near Donetsk, is under active shelling and fighting during the second year. The Ukrainian military determine the importance of maintaining the city, despite the destruction and damage caused by the enemy.
General Tarnavsky compared the situation in Marinka with other cities, including Avdiivka, where the Russian occupation troops bypass the fighters to avoid fighting in the city.
"We watched it during Bakhmut fighting," the general said, pointing to the strategic importance of Marinka's maintenance.
The Armed Forces servicemen refute the statements of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoig about the occupation of Marinka by Russia, indicating that this does not correspond to reality. A spokesman for the United Tavriya Defense Press Center Alexander Planon stated that the Ukrainian military is located in the north of Marinka, where active combat work continues.
