The head of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Zhelyazkov reported during his speech at the Second Parliamentary Summit of the Crimean Platform that Bulgaria is in the process of negotiations for the sale of two atomic reactors to meet Ukraine's energy needs.
"In the field of energy, Bulgaria is in the process of negotiations on the sale of two nuclear reactors in order to meet the energy needs of Ukraine. We strive to assist and support the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine after the end of the conflict," Zhelyazkov emphasized.
Prior to that, in July 2023, the Bulgaria Parliament approved a proposal to start negotiating the Minister of Energy with the Ukrainian side for the sale of equipment for the project of the Belen nuclear power plant.
