Last night, Russia suffered another massive drone attack. According to the official data of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 110 drones were shot down, of which the largest number was over Kursk (43) and Lipetsk (27) regions, as well as Orlovsk (18). In addition, drones were destroyed over the Nizhny Novgorod, Bryansk and Moscow regions.
Attack on the Sverdlov plant
Russian Telegram channels report an attack on the Sverdlov defense plant in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region. The plant specializes in the production of explosive materials and is under US and EU sanctions. Local residents reported explosions on the territory of the industrial zone of the plant, one of the moments of the explosion was captured on video.
Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Hleb Nikitin reported in his Telegram channel that the attack was repulsed with the help of air defense systems, but four fire service workers received shrapnel wounds.
Drones near Moscow
The mayor of Moscow, Serhii Sobyanin, also announced the destruction of a drone that was moving towards the capital. So far, there is no information about damage or casualties in the Moscow region.
Previous attacks
On the night of October 19, UAVs attacked the Kremniy EL plant in the Bryansk region, one of the leading electronics manufacturers in Russia. A few days before that, the Khanska airbase was attacked by Ukrainian special services drones, where several combat aircraft, including Su-34 and Su-35S, were stationed at the time of the attack.
