Since 2027 in Ukraine, high school students will study for a year longer to get a better basis for further education or entering the labor market. This was announced by Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovy during a presentation of the study "Content of education in the senior profile school".
The purpose of such a change is to make students more prepared for joining universities. According to the forest, the ministry is working on reducing the length of the bachelor's degree so that students can receive specialized education faster and with greater quality. For this purpose it is planned to introduce an additional year of school, which will allow students to determine their professional profiles and gain the necessary knowledge.
"If you have chosen a university, then you come there more prepared, and if you decide to enter a professional college - you enter the labor market with a specific profession," the minister said.
In addition to the additional year at school, the government examines the possibility of reducing the length of bachelor's degree for certain specialties. It is expected that this will allow you to make training more efficient and focused on professional skills.
