Will allies agree to Zelensky's victory plan?

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is about to present his "Victory Plan" in Washington. According to reports, the United States got acquainted with some general contours of the plan and consider it practical. However, The Times Viewer, Mark Galeotti, emphasizes that views on victory in Kiev and the West can be significantly different.

Galeotti notes that one of the goals of Zelensky's plan is to maintain the support of the Allies. The German diplomat even expressed doubt whether the plan would really lead to victory over the Russians, indicating that it is most likely designed to maintain unity among the Allies.

The West has an increase in "fatigue from Ukraine" and the feeling that the conflict should be completed, even if it means the establishment of "ugly peace". However, Western allies have no consensus on how the war should end.

Galeotti also emphasizes that Ukraine's refusal to recognize territorial losses can lead to an "eternal war". He believes that over time, the conflict will fluctuate between cruel battles and temporary trucers, but will not end.

Zelensky plans to present four main points of his plan, as well as one point concerning the recovery after the war. The US permanent representative at the UN Linda Thomas Grinfield has confirmed that the United States had already got acquainted with this plan and believe that "it can work".

The Victory Plan schedule is designed for the quick decisions of the Allies in October-December, and Zelensky hopes that it will contribute to his success.
