During the first quarter of 2025 prices for construction and installation work in Ukraine showed a significant increase compared to the same period 2024 . According to the State Statistics Service , the prices for construction work increased by 6.7%, which reflects the overall trend towards the rise in prices of services in different segments of construction.
In particular, in housing construction prices increased by 7.2%, in non -residential - by 7%, and in engineering construction - by 6.3%. Compared to the previous quarter, prices increased by 1.9% in the residential sector, 2.1% in non -residential and 1.9 % in engineering. These changes are not accidental. They are a consequence of difficult economic conditions, in particular, a war that influenced the market . In addition to raising prices for materials, problems with supply, lack of qualified personnel and the overall economic crisis are of great importance which complicates the normal course of construction work. During 2024 , the prices for construction work increased by 7.9%, and in 2023 this increase was 15.8% compared to the previous year. For many Ukrainians, housing construction has become much more expensive. According to statistics , the cost of construction increased by an average of 90 - 115%, depending on the class of housing, and this trend continues to remain.
also important to note that these indicators do not take into account temporarily occupied territories and areas where active fighting is underway , which also affects the overall condition the construction industry in the country.
