Spare parts prices in Russia may rise by 30% due to delivery delays

Russian suppliers are faced with serious problems in the delivery of containers with automotive spare parts, which can lead to an increase in prices by 20-30%. This was reported by the head of the Russian Union of Autoustry (RSA) Yevgen Ufimtsev, noting that problems with payments for cargo will delay 30-40% of deliveries.

Previously, spare parts were successfully delivered to Russia in 15-30 days depending on the region. However, since the summer of 2024, the situation has changed dramatically: only 60-70% of containers reach the destination within the specified period, and the rest are stuck due to problems with payment. In some cases, technical difficulties interfere with the transfer of money, which delays delivery for indefinite time.

In response to these difficulties, suppliers are actively looking for new intermediaries to make payments. However, such changes affect the cost of spare parts and the timing of their delivery. According to Ufimtsev, delays in supplies are increasingly observed in the context of imports from China, Europe and the USA.

The rise in prices for car spare parts in Russia is the result of not only global economic conditions, but also internal financial difficulties. This situation can have serious consequences for the automotive industry in the country, affecting the availability of services and car service.
