An attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria could force Iran to consider a response.
As a result of the strike on Damascus, which damaged the Iranian consulate, the threat of a new war in the Middle East has become more urgent, journalists note.
According to the US Central Intelligence Agency, Israel was given a warning of a possible attack by Iran within 48 hours. This may happen as a result of the destruction of the Iranian consulate in Syria.
High-level officials in Iran responded to the attack by saying that Tehran must respond to aggression.
It is noted that Iran is considered to be involved in planning a combined attack "rain" of drones and missiles aimed at strategic objects in Israel.
It should be mentioned that earlier it was reported about a large-scale air strike on Damascus, as a result of which one of the buildings near the Iranian consulate in Syria was damaged.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the death of seven officers on Monday, April 1, in an attack on one of the consulate buildings. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, this strike was recognized as a violation of international conventions. It also became known that among the dead were generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi.
