The famous Ukrainian judoist Daria Bilodid took an unexpected step in his sports career, making her debut in professional football. The two -time Judo World Champion went to the field as part of the women's team of Metalist 1925 in the match against Ladomir.
The debut took place within the 5th round of the second stage of the Higher League of the Championship of Ukraine. Bilodid appeared on the field in the 87th minute, replacing Elizabeth Molodyuk. At that moment, Kharkiv residents were already confident with a score of 6: 0, and this result remained unchanged for the final whistle.
Darya signed a contract with Metalist 1925 in March 2025, but she took part in the game for the first time right now. For many fans, this has become a pleasant surprise and an example of a world -class athlete capable of expanding her horizons and opening new sides of talent.
Although the debut was short, it can be the beginning of a new stage in the career of Bilodid, which has already proven endurance, discipline and sports power on Tatama. Now she is waiting for a new challenge - conquering the football field.
