British Foreign Minister Cameron met with Trump in the United States, but the minister seems to have failed to persuade the former President to unlock Ukraine.
"The UK Foreign Minister was not even allowed to meet Congress speaker Mike Johnson, who could theoretically put the Package [Assistance to Ukraine] to the vote," The Guardian reports.
Cameron "hoped that Trump would signal a change in the course, at least facilitating his way to meeting Johnson", but that didn't happen.
"Kemeron's arguments - both rational and emotional - seem to have come across a continuing struggle for power within the Republican Party. Supporters of a tough line who have cooled to continue Ukraine's financial support, threaten to displace Johnson if he puts a package of help."
