Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) today, December 25, detained the former chief of the Odessa Regional TCC and JV in Kyiv. The detention happened immediately after the suspect left the detention center on bail of UAH 39.364 million .
Although the name of the detainee is not officially called, the description is about the former military commissioner of the Odessa region Yevgeny Borisov.
The DBR received information that after his release, Borisov planned to evade the investigation and go abroad. In view of this, law enforcement officers promptly detained him and raised new suspicions of criminal offenses.
- Spring 2023 : An investigation into Borisov was launched.
- May 2023 : Borisov had to get out of the pre -trial detention center, but on the same day he was declared a new suspicion.
- December 25, 2023 : The detained again after the bail and release from custody.
The bureau emphasized that the actions of the suspect indicate attempts to avoid justice, which is the reason for re -detention. It is also noted that he has been informed of new suspicions, but the details of these accusations are not yet disclosed.
