Former MP and leader of the Ocean Elzy band Svyatoslav Vakarchuk filed an electronic declaration for dismissal from military service. The document shows Vakarchuk's income for the period from January to the beginning of May 2024. In particular, he noted 89.6 thousand hryvnias, received in the form of financial support in military service, without clarifying the name of the military unit that paid these funds.
In addition, Vakarchuk received 34.8 thousand hryvnias for the first four months of this year at the Supersimetry LLC, which he owns. Another 30 thousand hryvnias were paid by the Voice Party, which he headed during the early parliamentary elections of 2019 and from which he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada.
Vakarchuk also declared cash in the amount of 5.4 million hryvnias, $ 200 thousand and 125 thousand euros. In bank accounts, it saves 30 thousand hryvnias and $ 205.6 thousand.
Separately, in 2023 Vakarchuk borrowed $ 27,000 to Ukrainian singer Christina Solova.
In total, for 2022-2023 Vakarchuk received UAH 764.6 thousand in the form of financial support in military service.
In the first days of the war, Lieutenant Vakarchuk joined the territorial centered center and concluded a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was sent to the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
“The Lviv administration actually gave me a business trip to travel to Ukraine and inspire people. It looks like this. I am in my place, and if necessary, I will definitely protect the country with weapons in my hands, ”Vakarchuk said.
