The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) plans to take demobilization measures for servicemen who have already completed conscript service. This was reported by the NSDC Secretary, Alexei Danilov.
The Verkhovna Rada is currently discussing the law on mobilization reform, but Danilov emphasized that demobilization measures are planned for servicemen whose terms of service have passed.
"This was given a lot of attention for us to be rightly involved in attachment to our army of those people that we need for the country's defense capability. As for the mobilization of people who passed conscript service, the President asked and the military agreed that these people will be demobilized in the near future.
It is also noted that servicemen whose service life has already expired and who want to stay in the army can conclude a contract.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted several bills aimed at social protection of servicemen and their families, in particular, regarding paid vacations for demobilized soldiers.
