According to the information disseminated by the mass media, Ukrainian people's deputies may be exempted from the deferral of mobilization.
People's deputy Maryana Bezugla reported this, commenting on the situation on her Facebook page.
She noted that we are talking about the elimination of duplication in the draft law and the need to remove a separate deferment for deputies, since their rights are already prescribed in a separate article in the Law "On the Status of the People's Deputy of Ukraine."
"Today, I was contacted by some outraged colleagues that in the course of finalizing the draft law on recruiting, mobilization and military service, the postponement of the current People's Deputies of Ukraine is excluded. Quietly! Don't panic! Duplication is being removed," Bezugla wrote.
According to her, there is already a deferral for deputies in the Law "On the Status of the People's Deputy of Ukraine" (Article 29), and an additional deferral in the Law "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization" is not necessary.
"You should not equate yourself with people with disabilities, families with many children, etc. and demand a separately prescribed deferment specifically for people's deputies," she added.
Bezugla urged Ukrainian deputies not to panic and to understand that their rights are already protected in the legislation, and the exclusion of duplication is only a technical amendment in the draft law.
