According to The Insider portal, the Latvian deputy Tatiana Zdanok, represented by the European Parliament, was an agent of Russian intelligence , which has obeyed two curators from Russia from 2004 to 2017.
According to the information obtained, the political activity of Zdanoka was aimed at encouraging pro -Kremlin sentiment in Latvia and the European Parliament.
The investigation showed that Zdanoka sent detailed reports on her activities as a European legislator to her Russian curators. These reports contained information about personal meetings in Moscow or Brussels, as well as inquiries of funding from Russian sources to support its political activity.
Despite the fact that Zdanok denies her ties with Russian intelligence, the investigation was found that one of its curators was the FSB veteran of the Russian Federation from St. Petersburg, and later to others-another FSB employee.
