The plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on February 13 was closed ahead of time due to the blocking of the stands by the People's Deputies from the faction "European Solidarity". The People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported about it in his Telegram channel.
According to him, after the opening of the meeting and performing the National Anthem, representatives of the EU went to the podium and the place of the Presidium with the posters "Ukraine is not Russia" and "No political repression" . At the scene of the speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk there was a push between deputies.
Due to the inability to continue the work of the Verkhovna Rada, Stefanchuk announced the completion of the meeting.
The causes of the protest of EU deputies are not officially commented, but blocking the stands may be related to the latest political events and personnel decisions of the authorities.
