Recently, it became known that the loss of state in the form of underpassed taxes due to unprofessional actions of the manager of Ukrnaftoburning reached UAH 1.8 billion and continue to rise.
Mikhail Bakunenko, who was removed from the duties of the head of Ukrnaftoburning a year ago, criticized the management's management actions in his Facebook. According to him, the UNB paid a considerable amount of Ukrnafti's dividends without legal grounds, since the corporate rights of the company do not belong to the state or state legal entities.
Bakunenko's message states that these actions are recorded in the “Protocol # 3 of the annual general meeting of shareholders” of June 25, 2024, which has nothing to do with the shareholders or the real material world.
In addition, Bakunenko emphasized that the management of the company is incompetent, and its result was the loss of a license to the Sakhalin field. Since the loss of the license, the state has not received about UAH 380 million in taxes a month. This leads to total losses of UAH 2.66 billion for seven months, which in the amount with paid dividends gives a negative result of UAH 1.8 billion.
The company's governings not only ignore these figures, but also continue to do opaque financial transactions. Bakunenko emphasizes that lost income and reducing the volume of gas production adversely affect the economy of the state.
The situation around "Ukrnaftoburning" indicates serious problems in the management of public assets. The appointment of unprofessional managers and their opaque actions only deepen the problem, causing the state budget to suffer significant losses. Currently, the issue is not only in the legal plane, but also in the need for urgent reforms in the sphere of management of state -owned enterprises.
