According to the Ministry of Finance, during October the amount of debt increased by UAH 4.35 billion, but in dollar equivalent decreased by $ 0.32 billion due to exchange rate fluctuations.
- External debt : UAH 4 584.49 billion (71.48% of the total), or $ 111.06 billion.
- Internal debt : UAH 1 829.08 billion (28.52%), or $ 44.31 billion.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine's national debt is becoming cheaper and longer -term. Since the beginning of 2024, its weighted average cost has decreased by 21.8% - from 6.24% to 4.88%.
Such a trend is a positive signal for the economy, as reducing the cost of borrowing reduces the financial burden on the state budget.
