According to The Wall Street Journal, cheap unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become a key tool for Ukraine in the fight against Russia's aggression, helping bypassing the restrictions imposed by Western countries.
Earlier, the Western powers supplied Ukraine with winged missiles, provided that they will be used only in the territory occupied by Russia. However, according to WSJ sources, Kiev was able to bypass these restrictions, using its own UAV development for long -distance attacks on objects in the Russian Federation.
This strategy gave Ukraine a significant advantage in conflict with Russia, allowing it to effectively protect its territory and reflect the enemy attacks. The cheap and high efficiency of UAV of Ukrainian production allow even long attacks at no significant expense.
However, this development can provoke a response from Western countries that can decide to increase control over the supply of military technologies to Ukraine. In addition, Russia can try to develop its antiberial systems to combat this threat.

Experts of the publication note that by moving the war to the territory of the Russian Federation with the help of drones, Kiev can also force the Kremlin to relocate the air defense system away from the front line.
