Former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba has received a new position in the United States. He became a senior researcher at Harvard University, in particular in the influential Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs . It became known on December 4 from the official statement of the Center.
As a non -resident Belfer Center employee, Kuleb will focus on research in the following key areas:
- Counteering autocracy : Analysis of effective strategies for protecting democracy from authoritarian influence.
- Strengthening democratic institutions : identifying the best practices to strengthen democratic structures in the world.
- International Coalitions : Creation of Sustainable Alliances between Democratic States to respond to global challenges.
In addition, the ex -external plans to conduct lectures and seminars, sharing experiences with students and teachers of the Harvard School.
- Non -resident status:
- Dmytro Kuleba will remain in Ukraine and will combine his research in Harvard with other responsibilities.
- During the semester he will visit the campus of the University in Cambridge for personal meetings with colleagues and students.
- Supporting international image:
- The presence of Ukrainian experts in the leading Western institutions contributes to the formation of a positive image of Ukraine as a country that is actively involved in global scientific and political discussions.
- Spreading Ukrainian experience:
- Kuleba is able to share the experience of counteracting hybrid threats and external pressure that Ukraine has felt through Russian aggression.
- Strengthening relations with the US:
- Collaboration with Harvard can help strengthen diplomatic and academic relations between Ukraine and the United States.
- Kuleba has become one of the few Ukrainian politicians who, after completing the ministerial career, were able to join the activities of influential Western institutions.
