On Wednesday morning, Australian Foreign Minister, Penny Wong, arrived in Kiev on an official visit. Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia Vasyl Miroshnichenko reported about it.
"I was glad to welcome the Foreign Minister Penny Wong in Kiev this morning. It will be a busy day of meetings and discussions," the diplomat said.
A number of meetings are planned during the visit, during which the parties will discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Australia. Particular attention is expected to be paid to the strengthening of Ukraine's support in the international arena, cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and the issues of economic interaction.
This visit emphasizes the strategic importance of relations between the two countries, especially in the conditions of global challenges that require consolidation of the efforts of democratic states.
