Fiba Gates, the daughter of a famous entrepreneur and co -founder Microsoft Bill Gates, for the first time publicly shared information about her father's mental state. In the episode of Call Her Daddy, 21-year-old Fiba said that her father was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which affects his behavior and interaction with the environment.
Phoebe said that Asperger's syndrome, a disorder of autistic spectrum, explains a certain social clumsiness for her father. She noted that it was "funny" for her personally, because Bill Gates was always "quite socially awkward." She also shared that her father confirmed the presence of this disorder, noting that he repeatedly spoke about Asperger's syndrome.
"It was horrible for the boy. For me - funny, because my dad is quite socially awkward. As he said earlier, he has asperger syndrome. So, as for me, it is very funny," Phibi said.
Asperger's syndrome is an autism form in which people have difficulties in socialization and are prone to recurring actions. At the same time, cognitive abilities remain unchanged, but these features can significantly affect daily life and interaction with other people. People with Asperger's syndrome often have a narrow range of interests, which makes them communication with others complex.
Fiba mentioned this fact when discussing her personal life, including her father's reaction to her relationship. She noted that Bill Gates, despite his social clumsiness, always sought to support her in all endeavors and tried to understand her point of view, even if it was difficult for him.
