Two European countries have introduced unlimited passes for tourists for 49 euros

Two European countries, Germany and Hungary, have introduced the possibility of using unlimited travel tickets for public transport, which allows you to travel on almost all bus and train routes without the need to buy new tickets.

In Germany, the cost of such permits per month is 49 euros (1,950 hryvnias) and allows you to travel on trains, buses and the subway throughout the country. Hungary also offered two types of tickets: a national ticket that allows you to use all buses and trains, and a district ticket that covers one of the country's 19 districts at a cost of 25 euros (995 hryvnias).

Both countries also offer a 90% discount for students. Tickets are available not only for residents of the countries, but also for foreigners traveling. German passes can be purchased at various locations, including the state-owned Deutsche Bahn, and online monthly subscriptions are also available. Paper tickets in Germany will only be accepted until the end of 2023, after which the system will switch to digital format.

Hungarian passes can be purchased at more than 1,100 points of sale across the country, including MÁV-START ticket offices, vending machines and the MÁV app, Volánbusz ticket offices, on board buses and GYSEV ticket offices.
