In Kiev, a scandal broke around the hotel on the water "Bakkar". The director of the enterprise who illegally seized the vessel received a report of suspicion of fraud. According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the businessman defeated the ownership of the hotel, paying only part of the agreed value.
According to the prosecutors, the Bakkar Hotel Bank has concluded a contract of sale with an enterprise for the amount of UAH 28 million. Under the terms of the agreement, the buyer had to make 9 million hryvnias at the time of signing the contract, and the rest of the amount - to the deadline. The ownership of the vessel was to be re -issued after full payment.
However, without the financial ability to fulfill the terms of the contract, the entrepreneur resorted to fraud. He illegally rebuked the hotel in his name, paying only 9 million hryvnias instead of the full of 28 million.
Then the company tried to protect itself from claims by the rightful owner, selling the hotel or using it as a mortgage property under the mortgage. The Supreme Court overturned all illegal registration actions, restoring the ownership of the liquidated bank and authorized persons of the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
At the moment, the director of the enterprise has been suspected, and also seized the Bakarkar Hotel to prevent further attempts to sell and secure a civil claim in criminal proceedings. The process of choosing a precaution for the suspect is currently underway.
