Former US White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki expressed his outrage about the possible replacement of Joe Baiden as a presidential candidate at the National Congress of the Democratic Party. In her words, such a step could cause a serious split inside the party. In an interview with MSNBC on June 30, she stressed that Baiden's replacement would have a "seismic impact" on a democratic party.
"Those who hope Biden will come out of the race to hold a mediation convention should realize that this is not such a simple way," Psaki emphasized, adding that this would mean responsibility for choosing a candidate for several thousand delegates, not millions of voters who have already cast their votes.
Recall that the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump took place on June 27. After the presidential speech, there were doubts among his supporters about the expediency of replacing an 81-year-old leader with a junior candidacy.
Despite this, Biden acknowledged that his speech on the debate was not perfect, but he did not intend to deviate from the presidential race. According to CNN, Biden now has the support of almost all party delegates, which complicates his displacement from his candidacy against his will.
