US President Joe Biden has approved a new security package to Ukraine. This was stated by US Presidential Advisor John Kirby.
"Today, the President has approved a new security package to Ukraine. He will provide them with additional means of air defense, artillery, drones and armored vehicles," Kirby said.
He also noted that this is the 72nd Package of Assistance to Ukraine, provided by the United States since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia. The adviser stressed that the US administration is not going to stop at this: "As the President has made, we will continue to supply additional help packages by the end of this administration."
According to CNN, Baiden's administration is currently working to increase weapons deliveries to Ukraine. In the coming days, an official announcement of a $ 500 million assistance package is planned. This package will allow you to remove some of the equipment from the US Armed Forces for immediate transfer to the Ukrainian army.
One of Biden's high -ranking officials added that the US Department of Defense is making "historical efforts" to ensure fast delivery of weapons. "From that moment until mid -January, we will deliver hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles and other important means to Ukraine," he emphasized.
The US remains a key partner of Ukraine in the war against Russian aggression, providing it with modern means of defense and maintaining the strategic stability of Ukrainian forces.
