The German authorities expressed satisfaction with the results of the introduction of border control with neighboring states to effectively confront illegal migration. Interior Minister Nancy Feser, who previously opposed the introduction of control, has now recognized his effectiveness and reported plans to actively deploy the Federal Police to control the borders.
The Chairman of the Federal Police Trade Union, Hayko Thagats, was convinced that previously expressed specialists' recommendations could help to avoid the difficulties that federal lands and local authorities now face.
During the month, more than 4.790 people were stopped at the border, who were banned from entering Germany. 266 smugglers were also arrested and 329 drug dealers were held accountable. Germany introduced border control with Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland since October 16, and on November 14 it was continued.
