According to the institution, the GDP of Ukraine will increase by 3.2% in 2024, by 6.5%-in 2025, by 5.1%-in 2026. But - provided that active fighting will last during this year and then become moderate.
"Recovery will depend primarily on the development of the Russian invasion and is expected to be supported by an increase in exports and investments in reconstruction," the bank said.
According to him, the costs of Ukraine's reconstruction are estimated at $ 486 billion over the next decade. This is about 2.8 times higher than nominal GDP in 2023 and much more than previous estimates.
"More than 6.4 million people left the country. Loss of jobs, incomes and assets, as well as high inflation, turned a 15-year struggle for poverty reduction," the institution's analytics state.
