The Ukrainian economy has begun to recover, and new data from the Ministry of Economy testify.
In September this year, Ukraine's GDP increased by 9.1% compared to September last year, which indicates that Ukraine's economic restoration is accelerating.
According to the Ministry of Economy, GDP growth in January-September of the current year is estimated at 5.3% compared to the same period last year.
"In September, most key economic activities showed positive results. In addition to the low base for comparison, this is also explained by the high business capacity to adapt to new challenges with the support of the state and international partners," said the First Viceremierka and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
In particular, there is a restoration of economic activity of enterprises in many sectors of industry. In general, the production sphere is also being restored, which has suffered significant losses and destruction during the war.
A significant contribution to GDP in September made the service area.
“First, it is a commercial service area that is today more digitized and maneuverable in its activity, which allows it to adapt quickly to the new conditions and needs of markets.
Secondly, the service sector is also included in the sphere of public administration and defense, the financing of which is a priority during the war, ”Sviridenko explained.
Also, due to the increase in the raw material base from agriculture and the development of new methods of supply of products, the production of enterprises of the food industry increased in September.
Positive dynamics were also observed in mechanical engineering and production of building materials. The Ministry of Economy states that this was facilitated by the restoration projects and a program of privileged mortgage lending.
The growth in the extractive industry is explained by the accumulation of coal and gas reserves for the winter.
