Energy were able to restore the operation of the high -voltage line, which connects the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP with the United Energy System of Ukraine. The line was damaged due to constant enemy shelling, but now the power is restored on two lines. It happened after the station was on the verge of blackout due to constant blows on energy infrastructure.
Energy Minister of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko thanked the energy for successful restorative work, but stressed that the situation at the station remains extremely difficult and threatening. The high risk of hostilities, as well as physical and technical problems that arise from shelling, can lead to new disruptions in the work of NPP.
The minister also stressed the importance that only the return of Ukraine under the control of Zaporizhzhya NPP can guarantee the safety of the largest nuclear power station in Europe.
The Zaporizhzhya NPP, which is currently under the control of Russian troops, is a strategic object, and the restoration of stable energy supply is critical for Ukraine.
