Erdogan and the President of Iran discussed measures to ensure peace in Gaza

The presidents of Turkey and Iran have held a telephone conversation during which they discussed the situation around the conflict between Palestine and Israel. The issues of providing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population and possible steps to achieve a steady ceasefire in the region were discussed.

The Presidential Directorate of Turkey reports that countries are planning joint action to take a temporary cease ceasefire and a permanent peace. President Erdogan expressed indignation with the "illegal" attacks of Israel on gas and discussed the issues of humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

During the conversation, the importance of the common position of the Islamic world, including Turkey and Iran, was also discussed, against the cruelty of Israel in the Palestinian territories. Leaders also have supported the preparation for a meeting of the high -level cooperation council between the two countries, which will take place in Turkey.

This discussion occurs against the backdrop of previous meetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and Iran, who have covered a wide range of regional issues, including Syria, Iraq, Palestine, South Caucasus, Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya and Ukraine.
