As of March 5, 2025, just over 3000 inhabitants continue in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, while more than 1,300 people live in the community. The evacuation of the population is ongoing, said the head of the city military administration Sergey Dobryak.
According to him, more than 5,000 people remain in the community. People gradually leave using evacuation buses that continue to work daily.
"If we take for today, there are just over 3,000 people in Pokrovsk in Pokrovsk. There are just over 5,000 people in the community, there are 1328 people in Rodinsky. And we see that people are leaving every day every day," Dobryak said.
Earlier, local authorities have repeatedly urged residents to evacuate because of the threat of active fighting and constant shelling. The export of people is organized together with volunteer organizations and state structures that help ensure safe departure and placement in other regions of Ukraine.
