In the marketing year 2023/2024 (from July 1 to December 8, 2023), Ukraine successfully exported 13.92 million tons of grains and legumes, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
It is noted that during the current marketing year, the country exported such crops as 6.103 million tons of wheat, 897 thousand tons of barley, 0.9 thousand tons of rye and 6.785 million tons of corn.
For comparison, in the period from July 1 to December 9 of the last marketing year (2022/2023), Ukraine exported a total of 18.974 million tons of cereals and legumes, including 7.162 million tons of wheat, 1.503 million tons of barley, 12.2 thousand tons of rye and 10.232 million tons corn
In the first 8 days of December 2023, Ukraine exported 824,000 tons of grain and legumes, including 194,000 tons of wheat, 23,000 tons of barley, and 605,000 tons of corn. Compared to the same period last year (December 2022), these volumes are 1.092 million tons, 392 thousand tons, and 659 thousand tons, respectively. It was emphasized that during December of this year and the previous year, Ukraine did not export rye.
It is also worth noting that in the specified period, Ukraine exported 51.8 thousand tons of flour, which is slightly less than in the same period of the last marketing year (59.8 thousand tons).
