Fentanyl is more important than Ukraine: American voters are much more concerned about the overdose crisis 

The overdose epidemic of a synthetic opioid in the US remains one of the central plots on American news channels - and now it is likely to be the main topic of the upcoming presidential election, Bloomberg reports.

As the public opinion research conducted by the agency together with Morning Consult in seven key countries for presidential race, including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Karolin, Pennsylvania and Visconsin, are eight. The fentanil crisis will at least partially affect who they vote for.

As emphasized in Bloomberg, it is a record indicator - a proportion of respondents who call fentanyl problem "extremely important" or at least "partly important" factor, exceeds the percentage of those who call abortion among such factors, climatic changes, as well as wars in Ukraine and in Ukraine.

According to Bloomberg and President Joe Biden, and his chief rival Donald Trump is actively talking about fentanil - and not only because he is an important problem for society, but also because this drug becomes a convenient reason to discuss a variety crime.
