Fitzo threatened to block assistance to Ukraine if not recovered gas transit

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo said the country would not stop supplying energy and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, even if gas transit through the territory of Slovakia is stopped. About it reports the Polish edition of Rzeczpospolita .

Fitzo noted that, despite the need for gas transit restoration, humanitarian aid will be continued. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized that Slovakia is ready to use its veto in the European Union if the issue of support for Ukraine is the subject of discussion at the EU level.

The Prime Minister has declared this decision in the context of urgent difficulties in gas transit, which is of strategic importance for the energy security of Slovakia.
