Finland allocates Ukraine 143 million euros of military assistance

Finland prepares for approval another military assistance package for Ukraine worth 143 million euros. This is the 29th package from the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022. This was reported on June 23 by the Finland Ministry of Defense.

According to the official statement, the package is now in the final stage of approval and requires approval by the Finnish government and the President of the country. Its formation is part of a new support program that was launched by the Ministry of Defense in the spring of 2025. Within the framework of this program, defense products for Ukraine are carried out through the national industry.

Finland's Defense Minister, Antta Hakikanen, said that this package includes the first batch of supply ordered from the Finnish defense sector. He stressed that the involvement of national producers is a strategic step that not only support Ukraine, but also strengthen its own defense capacity and stimulate the economy.

At the same time, the ministry emphasized that for safety reasons, neither the specific content of the package, nor delivery routes, nor the accurate delivery schedule will be published. This approach makes it possible to maximize the efficiency of assistance and avoid possible risks in the process of transportation.

Finland has consistently support Ukraine from the first days of a full -scale war. In total, since 2022, the country has provided military assistance worth about 2.8 billion euros. The previous packages included ammunition, air defense systems, weapons, transport, equipment and other necessary equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition to military support, Helsinki also takes an active part in the financing of humanitarian programs, projects for mine miners and energy renewal.
