The volume of grant obligations of donors to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine exceeded 1 billion euros. Funds collected thanks to international support are directed to the restoration of the energy infrastructure destroyed by Russia and ensuring the critical needs of communities in electricity supply.
The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko expressed his gratitude to international partners for their solidarity and assistance. He also noted the role of the Secretariat of the Energy Community in finding the necessary equipment and organizing purchases, which accelerate the recovery of the country's energy system.
The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, established in April 2022, has already proven itself as an effective instrument of international aid in the fight against the energy crisis caused by Russian shelling. With the help of the Fund, Ukrainian energy workers restore damaged facilities, carry out urgent repairs and build new capacities for stable electricity supply.
Donors of the Fund include public and private organizations from most countries of the European Union, Great Britain and the United States. A significant contribution is also made by international and regional organizations that join forces to help Ukraine in a critically difficult time.
Financing from the Fund helps not only to maintain the energy balance of the country, but also ensures the resilience of communities against possible new challenges and attacks.
