France has handed over specialized technical equipment to collecting evidence concerning military crimes against the environment and ecocide committed by Russia. This equipment will effectively record the crimes related to the environment, and will strengthen Ukraine's efforts to bring Russia to the environment.
As of today, 222 military crimes are being investigated in Ukraine, as well as 14 cases of ecocide. The particular purpose of the prosecutor's office is to ensure effective environmental protection, using national and international justice mechanisms.
V.O. Prosecutor General Alexei Khomenko thanked France and her Aviation in Ukraine Gael by the Allier for considerable support, which included not only the provision of technical equipment, but also active participation in cooperation with the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies. He also praised the assistance of the EU representation in Ukraine, as well as EU and Expertise France projects, working on strengthening Ukraine's capabilities in the fight against military crimes committed by the Russian Federation.
