France has opened a gunpowder production plant for shells

A new Eurenco group was opened in the city of Berzerak in the southwest of France, which will specialize in the production of gunpowder for artillery shells. This is an important step in increasing France's production facilities to provide ammunition, in particular for the needs of the Ukrainian army.

The plant has a 24 -hour cycle of work, which will significantly increase the production of gunpowder and shells. Eurenco Operation Director Eric Jero stressed that next year the plant will produce enough gunpowder for the manufacture of 100 thousand shells, and by 2027 this figure should increase to 200 thousand. The plant will work seven days a week, providing a continuous production cycle, which will increase the efficiency and speed of supply of ammunition for the front.

The opening ceremony of the new plant was held with the participation of high French officials, in particular the Minister of Armed Forces of France Sebastian Lecorton. In his speech, Lecorton noted that France has made significant progress in ensuring the supply of ammunition for Ukraine. He stated that since the beginning of the war, the pace of production and supply of shells, such as 155 mm shells for Caesar howitzers, increased significantly.

Eurenco plans include a significant expansion of production to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army and partners of France. Production of gunpowder at the new plant will allow not only current needs, but also prepare for a possible increase in the volume of supply in the future.

The Berzrak plant is the result of the French government's investments that have allowed to restore the production of gunpowder in the region after more than 15 years of break. By 2007, Eurenco had already had production capacity in Berzharak, but they were closed due to lack of orders. The restoration of production in the city shows the importance of this area for France's national security and support of Ukraine in war.

The French government emphasized the importance of rapid deployment of new production facilities, since the supply of shells for Ukraine has become critical. With the opening of this plant, France will increase its ability to supply artillery ammunition, which is essential for Ukrainian armed forces in the fight against Russian aggression.

Thus, the new Eurenco plant in Berzrak will become a key element in providing France with its defense obligations, as well as in support of Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
