France will send its ambassador to Putin's "inauguration".

France decided to send her ambassador to the inauguration of Vladimir Putin, which will take place on May 7. This decision testifies to a potential split in the Western camp with some countries, including the Baltic countries, which are strongly opposed to any conclusion with Putin and can lead to a destruction of Ukraine in its war with Russia.

"France will be represented by an ambassador to Russia," the source in the French diplomatic corps reported.

According to the source, Paris previously expressed conviction on the conditions of elections in Russia. France considers such actions by violation of international law and principles of the Charter of the UN.

The presidential election in Russia took place in March, which won Vladimir Putin. He will now head the country by 2030. However, the elections also took place in the occupied Ukrainian territories, which suffered from many partners of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that it does not recognize the legitimacy of Putin as the President of the Russian Federation.
